Birchbox No More

After receiving the May 'Gossip Girl' Birchbox I have made the final decision to cancel my subscription. This has to be the worst sample box I have received thus far. I've let Birchbox slide with some crappy samples in the past, but I've decided to make the switch to Glossybox because it's now in the US. Here are the samples I received in my box. The Dr. Jart BB cream? It has nothing in it either. I don't know if this is how they all came out but I had to ring the entire thing and I had 1/5 the amount of a dime in there. That's it. I don't want to pay for samples like that.

Canceling my subscription was the most freeing feeling...I think that's a sign? I'm excited for Glossybox! I don't think anyone can top TestTube for me in quality and amount, but you never know.

What do you guys subscribe too?

My Makeup Setup!

I've been asked where do I keep all my makeup so I figured I would make a post to show you guys. I have it set up in my room, out of the way of everything. It's nice to have it outside of my bathroom, so the water doesn't harm my products and brushes! But I got this container at Target, both of them actually. I think the small three drawer one was like $9 and the big five drawer one was $20...basically both really inexpensive.

Review: Tinted Moisturizer Anyone?

Sometimes we don’t want that full coverage that foundation gives us, and not every needs that sort of coverage. So let’s talk about my favorite two tinted moisturizers because I think they are the best thing and are a staple in my makeup collection.

1. Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer spf 20 - $42
This has to be my favorite of the ones that I’ve tried. I tend to have oily skin, and this goes great with that because it doesn’t add that extra shine which would make my face look like a greasy explosion. Nice coverage, and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and light.

2. Nars tinted moisturizer spf 30/ PA+++ - $42
Love this because of the color. During the winter time when I don’t have a lot of color, I tend to use my Nars moisturizer that I have in Alaska. It doesn’t help with the oil control like the Laura Mercier, but I think this gets the job done on the days where I’m not as greasy. I tend to mix the two of them together to get the perfect color, and because they blend so well together.
So guys, what are you favorite tinted moisturizers?
